Six months ago this week, The Hoolet’s Nook published its first piece, “Knit One, Purl Two” by Julie Brandon. This debut set the tone beautifully—if you haven’t read it yet, we hope you’ll take a moment to check it out. Since then, we’ve learned a great deal about what works best for our editorial process, and to streamline our workflow, we’ve decided to shift to a monthly publication schedule—one that will allow us to curate each release more intentionally, ensuring that every piece gets the attention it deserves. What This Means for Submissions While submissions will remain open on an ongoing basis, cut-off dates will determine consideration for each issue. Other than this scheduling shift, our submission guidelines remain the same. To prepare for this transition, we are pausing publication to allow time to carefully curate content for our first issue, which will go live June 1st. In the meantime, take a stroll through our archives—there are hidden gems waiting to be rediscovered. To be considered for our June 1st issue, please submit your work by April 30th. Complete guidelines can be viewed here: https://www.thehooletsnook.com/submissions.html We’re incredibly grateful for the continued support of our contributors and readers and look forward to this next chapter—one thoughtfully crafted one issue at a time.
