The Shed

Emptied.
Standing as a monument to
      every discount,
      every sale,
      every closing down event,
      “everything must go”.
Packets, unopened, aged with neglect.
Boxes remain sealed.
A forgotten moment of need.
Duplicates waiting in the depths of shelves.
A reminder of what was lost.
